Presidents' Corner

Brothers and Sisters,
We are finished!!! DynCorp International and Pax River Local Lodge 4 now has a tentative agreement on a new CBA. The agreement is tentative pending YOUR VOTE on Sunday!
We believe we got a great deal, with many improvements over the current contract. In fact, this new agreement has THE FULL RECOMMENDATION OF THE PAX RIVER LL4 NEGOTIATING COMMITEE!!
Tomorrow, each hanger's representative will be in their hanger handing out summary sheets of all economic changes and all language changes. We are doing this so you can study the changes over the weekend and be better prepared to vote on Sunday, Aug. 29th. Remember - WE NEED MAXIMUM PARTICIPATION ON SUNDAY NIGHT. WE NEED ALL OF YOU THERE FOR A PROPER VOTE!!!!
Your stewards have some basic information that they will pass out to you verbally.
We look forward to seeing you on Friday and answering your questions the best we can. And, we thank all of YOU for supporting us through this.

UNITED WE NEGOTIATED!!!

DynCorp and You

So you ask, how are the negotiations going?

Let me tell you……

DynCorp promised SUBSTANTIAL economic improvements on the first day of negotiations (George Glasser and Charlie Grogan) with pass through on 1 January 2011.

So, let’s identify the SUBSTANTIAL improvements…..

1.      2.00% current offer for a pay raise (2010-2.00%, 2011-2.00%, and 2012-2.00%) $.56/hour/year.

2.      $.15 per hour increase in the Flexible Benefit (then $.10 per hour for 2011 and 2012)

3.      $.05 per hour increase in the Pension each year ($.40, $.45, $.50).

4.      $5.00 increase in the boot allowance (after 1 January 2012).

5.      Flexible Benefit paid for all hours paid (after 1 January 2011).

6.      3 days of paid time off if forced by Executive order or administrative leave to miss work ((example – President declares a federal holiday),( but not effective after 1 January 2011))

7.      Offer to give day after Thanksgiving off (Paid) but loose Columbus Day as a paid holiday.

8.      1 day per month that you can call in to take vacation vice the current all days of available vacation (call in each day), more days if a Doctor’s note is presented.

9.      Company is not interested in negotiating Vacation changes.

10.  Company feels you do not need any additional paid time off (Cost Plus Contract covers this)

11.                        COMPANY IS DELAYING NEGOTIATIONS BECAUSE IT SAYS IT HAS MEETING TO ATTEND, SO THEY HAVE NO PLAN FOR ALTERNATE NEGOTIATORS?

This list is just a few of the offers DynCorp is making to you, the employees the company cares so much about and respects (remember all the signs around the shops about company relations).

What I can tell you, is that YOUR Negotiations Team is not standing for any of this, AND NEITHER SHOULD YOU!

31 August 2010 is the day this contract is dead. I don’t know about you, but I firmly believe the only way we can get the message across is to threaten STRIKE on September 1st.  Walk if necessary!

ALL THIS COMPANY CARES ABOUT IS IT’S PROFFIT LINE, and YOU ARE THE HEDGE AGAINST LOSSES, YES YOU…….REMEMBER WHAT Ray said “If I could pay you less I would”

IT’S YOUR MONEY THEY ARE MESSING WITH!

YOU have voted to ratify our new Collective Bargaining Agreement with DynCorp! YOU have made your voice heard in the Union's democratic process, and in so doing, YOU have a new CBA that takes effect September 1st, 2010.
Your negotiating committee would like to thank you all for your support, dedication and patience throughout this entire process. Without YOU, we could not have negotiated such a good contract. It is fair, and it's very beneficial to the membership.
CONGRATULATIONS MEMBERS OF IAMAW PAX RIVER LOCAL LODGE 4!
